2011 In Review – September

2011 In Review – September

September was really just like any other month here in good old Sierra Vista. As the heat started to subside we were able to venture out and enjoy the outdoors a little bit more. We were finally able to start turning off the swamp cooler and enjoy the fresh air in our house just a little bit.

Jacob continued to grow and grow and grow. I did forget to mention that he took his first steps in mid August – and so he spent much of September perfecting those steps and moving more and more quickly. As he started walking we discovered new things that he could get in to and as such our month was full of baby proofing and teaching Jacob how to listen – especially for his own safety.

2011 in Review - SeptemberWe spent a lot our afternoons out in the garage, or “gym” as Eric calls it – helping and watching Eric working out. We even took a few moment out to show Jacob how to hold on to the bar and all he could do was clap and smile! What a little cutie. He even loves sitting on Eric’s ATV and rolling back and forth!

Eric’s birthday is at the end of the month. He’s less than a year away from the big 3-0 this year and he’s still as much of a big kid as ever. Because he’s not a huge fan of cake, I made him a giant chocolate chip cookie and decorated it with a fantastic Bronco’s head! The cookie was yummy, but even after a few days we were still only able to eat half of it!

That evening I treated him to a fantastic steak dinner at the fanciest place in town – Texas Road House. Jacob was adorable and really sweet to Daddy the whole night. He even posed for a perfect picture (which is pretty hard thing to catch now that he’s running around)!

2011 in Review - SeptemberSo as I mentioned – it was a really nice month for us as a family and we were able to grow together, celebrate and enjoy the days that we’ll remember forever.
