2100 In Review – July
July in 2011 was one of our more laid back months. Because of the Monument Fire that was located just south of Sierra Vista (among many other fires in the Arizona), there was a ban on any fireworks over the 4th of July holiday. Which made our weekend fairly boring – in all honesty. We did head out to the park down the street where the city holds a lot of events, fairs and carnivals. We hung out in the grass, listened to some music and let Jacob roam around in the grass. Jacob was absolutely adorable. It was around this time he learned how to give hugs, too!
In July I picked up a new hobby – couponing. Yeah, I know, it sounds pretty boring, but I spent every Sunday buying papers, clipping coupons and organizing them. It was actually quite a money saver, but sucked up a lot of my time and I’ve recently decided to take a break. Jacob, however, really loved the newspapers and couldn’t get over how much fun they were to crinkle, throw, scrunch and tear. He had a blast!
So as I said, July was pretty quiet month here in Arizona. It was full of trips to the park and a stack full of coupons. It was a lot of fun to watch Jacob grow during this time though, as he began to start trying out his legs in preparation for his first steps!

Hello! I'm Catie, mother to Jacob and wife to my oh-so-handsome husby, Eric. I'm a work at home Mama, business owner, former Military wife, slightly crunchy and fun loving. Somedays I'm convinced I'm learning more from Jacob than he is from me. We are all growing and changing and it's becoming quite an adventure....
